The activities carried out by the ProUNI fall into two major categories:
1. Obtaining financial resources
2. Other, specific to the purposes of its creation
1. 1. Obtaining financial resources
The Patronage of the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (ProUNI) has been recognized by the Economy and Finance Ministry as recipient of donations (Ministerial Resolution No.327-2008-EF/15).
Make a donation to the ProUNI allows donor deduct a portion of donated from taxes payable to the Treasury, for the fiscal year in which it’s made your donation. The fundraising takes place through four modalities:
1.1 Active Members Registration
Distinguished professionals are contacted, preferably - but not necessarily - UNI graduates willing to join the ProUNI and support its efforts. The membership categories are:
1.1.1 Founders Asset
1.1.2 Regular Active Members
1.1.3 Honorary Active Members
1.1.4 Natural Active Members
It promotes the inscription as partners’ members among graduates. For this purpose, and in order to incorporate the largest number of graduates; it has been prepared a Graduates Directory , which can be consulted.
1.3 Annual Donations Campaign
From time to time, the ProUNI makes a campaign to collect donations between graduates registered as Partners Members. These donations are voluntary.
1.4 Corporate Donations
Companies which have willing to cooperate with the UNI and ProUNI are identified, asking them for donations to help finance the pipeline projects in ProUNI’s portfolio.

The Board of Trustees-UNI, since its inception, has gone through two stages:
